The Judo Federation of Montenegro has officially unveiled the national roster set to represent the country at the Senior European Judo Championships Podgorica 2025. With the event taking place on home soil, expectations are sky-high as the team prepares to face Europe’s best in front of a passionate local crowd. The Mtel Hall Morača eagerly awaits both competitors and spectators alike.
Individual Event Competitors:
- –66kg: Jusuf Nurković, Petar Radović
- –73kg: Jahja Nurković
- –81kg: Nikola Gardašević, Nebojša Gardašević
- –90kg: Novo Raičević
- +100kg: Anto Dubreta, Slobodan Vukić
- –78kg: Jovana Peković
- +78kg: Jovana Mrvaljević
These athletes bring a mix of experience, strength and strategic finesse to the tatami, each aiming to climb the podium and make Montenegro proud.
Mixed Team Event Additions:
- –57kg: Tamara Gardašević, Aisa Nurković
- –70kg: Nataša Jeftić
Joining forces with the individual contenders, these judoka will bolster Montenegro’s Mixed Team event lineup, an exciting and high-energy format that demonstrates teamwork and gender balance at the elite level. Head Coach Ilija Vukotić commented;
“We have assembled a team that combines experience warriors as well as hungry young talents. Competing at home is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and our athletes are ready to give everything they have got. The energy, the preparation and the pride are all there, we are going into this championship with heart and ambition.”
