The anticipation is growing: The European Judo Championships Seniors in the Zagreb Arena are just about nine weeks or 65 days to go. From Sunday to Tuesday, a six-strong EJU team – led by Head Sport Director Catarina RODRIGUES and Sport Director Urska ZOLNIR JUGOVAR – travelled to the capital to negotiate the final details with the Croatian Judo Federation.
This is once again an excellent opportunity for the CJF to welcome the entire judo family to Zagreb and express our hospitality to all competitors as well as sports officials and members of the international delegations,
emphasised IJF Education Director and CJF President Sandra ČORAK.
Our team is working diligently to stage a top-level competition. We are really looking forward to April.
Last year saw the 10th anniversary of the Grand Prix, from 25th to 28th of April the first European Judo Championships Seniors will be held in Croatia. “We are extremely proud to be in the position to organise such high-class events. All previous competitions, highlighting the 10th anniversary edition of the Zagreb Grand Prix, are the result of many years of work, sleepless nights and planning by our small, efficient ten-persons team. When we talk about the implementation of the European Championships Seniors itself, a total of 300 people will be involved,
tells Hrvoje LINDI, EJU Vice President and CJF General Secretary.
