TEPLICE WELCOMES BACK CADETS FOR ELEVENTH YEAR

TEPLICE WELCOMES BACK CADETS FOR ELEVENTH YEAR

The Sportshall ”Teplice” will welcome 383 athletes from an impressive 29 nations over the 3rd and 4th of July. For many this is the beginning of their international career and so there are bound to be some astounding performances with new names to put on the map.

Alongside these ‘newbies’ we will find five-time cadet European cup medallist Miljan RADULJ (SRB) who most recently took his first gold in Porec in the -81kg category. Teplice certainly doesn’t hold bad memories for the 17 year-old who took bronze on his last appearance here but will be looking to improve on his past results.

It was an all-Serbian final in Porec where Miljan RADULJ (right) defeated team mate Stefan ZUBOVIC.

Ema FIZELOVA (SVK) is seeking double gold.

Another returning gold medallist from Porec is Ema FIZELOVA (SVK) in the -63kg category. There may be pressure to stay on top form now that the cadet tournaments have returned but given the last performance, she will be one to beat.

We are very happy to be able to welcome back the cadet athletes, and following a wonderfully organised event in Croatia, Czech Republic are looking to follow suit and continue with their terrific standards, having already hosted a major tournament – 2020 European Championships – as well as the Prague senior European Open this year. Aside from the strict but very necessary protocol, it is a relief to have the calendar brimming with action once again.
