Following lasts week´s joint meeting at the IJF Headquarter in Budapest, the European Judo Union is pleased to announce the partnership with the International Judo Federation’s JUDOTV.COM. From now on every judo event from Cadet European Cups to European or World Championships can be followed on one joint platform.
“The good news is: All our EJU events will be shown in HD format and the quality of our judo broadcasts will be constantly improving. Judotv.com has become an international benchmark for sports livestreaming. Basic services will be shown for free, just as everyone is used to “, emphasizes EJU Vice President Otto Kneitinger.
For any additional services such as different camera angles, full size action, push messages in front of all fights of your personal favorites, a paywall will be implemented, starting this weekend with the Cadet European Cup in FUENGIROLA (ESP).
“We will be offering this year a total of 44 EJU events – 32 European Cups, 7 European Opens and 5 European Championships in HD quality. This service would not been possible in the future without a freemium model. Current subscribers will be getting EJU tournaments on top. All the others will need to pay a tournament fee from now on. The revenue, generated by the paywall, will be used to further develop European Judo”, explains Otto Kneitinger.
The following prices on judotv.com will be charged per tournament going forward:
- European Cups (12 Cadets, 14 Junior, 6 Senior – 32 in total): 5 €
- European Opens (7 events): 7 €
- European Championships (Cadets, Juniors, Under-23, Champions League – 4 events): 12 €
- European Championships (Seniors – 1 event): 20 €
With this new partnership, judotv.com will be quickly becoming the go-to destination for all things judo. Stay tuned for more details/news/upgrades in the coming weeks and months.
