Day three of the Senior European Judo Championships 2025 in Podgorica featured action in the -70kg, -81kg, and -90kg categories. Here are the remaining six judoka still in competition for glory.

OZBAS Szofi (HUN) continues to shine in the -70kg category, booking her place in yet another final, still, her first ever at the Senior European Championships. Along the way, she outclassed several well-established athletes, including Sanne VAN DIJKE (NED), Olympic bronze medallist, and Ai TSUNODA ROUSTANT (ESP), a two-time Paris Grand Slam winner. And that’s not all! Should she win today, Ozbas will complete a full set of European titles: cadet, junior, U23, and senior. It’s worth noting that the Hungarian remains undefeated in 2025, something for Elisavet TELTSIDOU (GRE), a four-time Grand Slam winner and 2024 European silver medallist, to be concerned about as they head into the field of play this afternoon.

Tato GRIGALASHVILI (GEO), a three-time European Champion and reigning World Champion, has once again secured his place in the final of the continental championships. His toughest hurdle on the way was Zelim TCKAEV (AZE), a four-time Grand Slam gold medallist. That challenge is now behind him, and today’s final will see him face Timur ARBUZOV (IJF), currently ranked #6 in the world. Arbuzov’s standout moment came in the semifinals, where he defeated Matthias CASSE (BEL). Now, the pair will battle for the top spot on the podium. Notably, while Grigalashvili claimed victory in their last meeting, the 2024 World Championships final, today, Arbuzov’s individual performance was flawless.

Maxime-Gael NGAYAP HAMBOU, the 23-year-old French judoka, made a name for himself at the Paris 2024 Olympics by winning bronze in the -90kg category, and today, he continues to shine. To secure his spot in the final, he outclassed former World Champion and two-time European Champion Nemanja MAJDOV (SRB) with an astonishing o-soto-gari. Meeting him in the final will be Christian PARLATI (ITA). Today has been a breath of fresh air for the Italian as he found his form and booked his place in the -90kg final. The pair first, and last, faced each other during the Mixed Team event at the Paris Olympics.
