Ms. Sanda ČORAK – President of the Croatian Judo Federation
“Judo Festival is a big project and it benefits us as the Federation in many ways. For instance, our athletes at all age groups have the chance to train with their opponents from all over the World, not only Europe. This is one thing, and the other is about learning from each other. Learning for example during the Kodokan Seminar from experts from Japan. It is wonderful to have 1000s of people together who all love judo and has different expertise within, yet spending the week together training and developing their knowledge each and every day.”
Mrs. Jane BRIDGE – Vice President of European Judo Union
“We have a full swam of participants here from elite athletes to Family Camp. We also have the Kata Seminar which is part of judo, therefore, it is important to give credit to it too. We see the Judo values such as respect, determination and patient all around and it is very important that we keep to these values. Through judo, we can apply these values into our life to help society to be a better, more positive environment.”
Mr. Neven STAVER – Plava Laguna d.d. Chairman of the Board
“We are very glad that we have the opportunity to work with Judo, because we recognise that Sport and Tourism is a win-win situation. Plava Laguna is the first company that began to collaborate tourism with sport. We are certainly privileged to see number of Olympic Champions attending at our regular Judo Festival and moreover we are pleased that the youngsters can mix with them, visit their training and spare their week together. We are thankful that we will see judo back here next year again.”
Mr. MUKAI Mikihiro – 7th Dan, Manager of Education & Instruction Department of Kodokan Judo Institute
“I really enjoy this Judo Festival and the concept of it. Here, I feel that everyone enjoys judo and their judo life. I delivered lessons at the Kata Seminars and also visited the Olympic Training Camp as well as the U18 Cadet Camp. There are many good athletes here and the main message I will take back to Japan and teach my Japanese judoka is that we have to enjoy judo and enjoy our judo life.”
