The Teplice Cadet European Cup 2024 delivered mostly what was expected especially the moment Anna OLIINYK-KORNIIKO (UKR) won the -70kg category. With her and another three golden moments gained by Khazar HEYDAROV (-55kg), Dmytro LEBID (-90kg) and Ilariia TSURKAN (-63kg), topped by five silver and three bronzes, Ukraine finished on top of the medal table. With distance in medal haul yet with outstanding performances, Germany and Georgia followed behind.
Prior to the event, Kristyna KASZPEROVA was the host nation’s lucky charm and although the top of the podium of the +70kg category was claimed by Zuzanna BANASZEWSKA (POL), Kaszperova indeed finished with the highest achievement within her team when earning the silver ware. Two more bronzes were added to the total tally of the Czechia team.
Congratulations to all medallists. According to tradition, a three-day training camp will follow with the next cadet cup already approaching next weekend in Berlin, Germany.
