On the final day of the Cadet European Judo Championships 2024, Vice President of the European Judo Union hosted the flag handover ceremony.
After hosting a tremendously successful championships here in Sofia, the President of the Bulgarian Judo Federation, Mr Rumen Stefanov STOILOV, initiated the ceremony by handing back the flag to Mr Kneitinger, who then passed it on to the President of the North Macedonia Judo Federation, Mr Vladimir TRPANOSKI.
In 2023, the EJU welcomed North Macedonia as a Junior European Cup tour stop, the capital Skopje proving to be a perfect location for the athletes. After this major move for the federation, they are taking one very big step further to host a prime event in the EJU calendar. President Trpanoski is delighted to host the Cadet European Championships next year,
It is wonderful that we will be hosting this event, yesterday was my birthday and this is the best present I could ask for. It is of great importance that we host this event, I really believe that by having this prime event judo will change completely in North Macedonia. I think our membership will increase, I believe the quality will be better, it will become something very special.
