Following the Junior European Cup the past weekend in Coimbra, the Portuguese federation are continuing their host of EJU events with the EJU Refereeing and Coaching Seminar which will take place on the 26th and 27th of March in Lisbon.
Speaking with EJU Refereeing Director Alexandr Jatskevitch, he explains,
The important thing is that we do this seminar after a two year break because of the Covid-19 pandemic. For this seminar, we have almost 100 participants, which is a really good number for the EJU Refereeing & Coaching Seminar. It’s obvious that Judo people have hunger not only for contests in competitions, but for Judo updates and knowledge as well.
It is a great opportunity for those brushing up on their judo knowledge, especially as there are new rules within this cycle. It is of course aimed at referees and coaches, however it is also of great use for the athletes and for lovers of the sport who continue to follow the competitions.
Though during the lockdown period of the pandemic, there were Referee Webinars made available through the website, the in-person advantages are invaluable, both to speak with the experts and have hands-on practice. We are very fortunate to have these opportunities and have the information delivered by the experts with video and example explanations.
The seminar can be followed on the event page.
