Around 500 judoka from 38 nations gathered from 7 until 17 January at the training camp approximately 100km of Salzburg in the Austrian mountains. In total 650 people including coaches, referees and other staff. The international elite judoka come to train with their future opponents and learn of the latest changes in the IJF rules. One of the highlights for the seniors this year is the European Championships in Montpellier (24-27 April) but soon the European Open events will start first in Sofia for both men and women. The junior season will start in March with international European Cups. The World Championships this year will take place in Chelyabinsk (RUS) from 25-31 August. The Olympic qualification starts in May 2014. Sporthotel Kogler is ready for the judoka in the typical environment where sweat goes upfront to the sweets of this season.
