Gold medalist at -100kg: Oleg Ishimov (RUS) I am absolutely glad about this medal. All fights were not easy. But emotionaly the final was special. There was a special psychological pressure before the final match and it was hard to keep concentration the whole fight. |

Gold medalist at -78kg: Klara Apotekar (SLO) It is an amazing feeling because this is my first gold medal ever. I am always second. Silver is not bad, but I am always a little bit disappointed because I want to win gold. The silver medal at the World Championships was more important, but this medal is special for me. I have never won against Brigita Matic before, and this was the rematch of the World Championships final. I wanted to win against her so much and I am happy to beat her today. I was a little bit sick the last three days, but during the first fight I realised I can win a medal today. |

Gold medalist at +100kg: Fedir Panko (UKR) I am only 19 years old. This was my first big tournament on this level and in this case the gold medal was a little surprise for me. My judo hero is my team mate Iakiv Khammo. He is a successful fighter and in the past we trained together in the same club in Donezk. |

Gold medalist at +78kg: Caroline Weiß (GER) My last European title was four years ago. Since the middle of this year, I felt so fit, absolutely fresh and powerful. I did not have any injury since the summer. I can feel that I can keep up with best. I hope I can push my team mates a little bit more who are in front of me. |
