Another busy and eventful year has passed and it is with great pleasure and honour that we could look back and mark the brilliant performance of European athletes, great input of European judo federations – organisers of top world and European judo events, hard work and high professionalism of the European coaches, referees, EJU commissioners, tremendous support of EJU sponsors and suppliers. Today 11 out of 14 senior top World Ranking List positions are crowned by European judoka, European teams are among the top three of the new Team WRL. However it is only the equator of the current Olympic cycle that we approach with significant results, and there are two more busy and saturated years ahead on our way to Rio-2016. I look forward to another year full of fascinating events. The European Judo Union would continue its programmes targeted to help the European federations, athletes and coaches, a new approach to the evaluation and education of top referees is being implemented. A special focus would be given to the youngest programme of the EJU – Judo lessons at School, which is my biggest dream and one of the top priorities for the moment. I wish a peaceful and captivating year to everyone, and I will look forward to seeing you at our competitions, seminars and other events. EJU President Sergey Soloveychik
