The team event at the Games of Small States of Europe will take place tomorrow at the National Sports School of Pembroke. For this occasion, separate men and women teams will be on stage. The tournament is scheduled to start at 2pm local time. Information in relations to live stream will be shared on our social media channels one hour before the start of the competition.
Women Team Event
The total of 5 women team will compete for the title of the small states champion. Monaco will face Cyprus for a spot in the semi-finals. Following that, the winner will be challenged by Montenegro. Malta and Luxembourg are going to contest one another at the lower half of the draw. Three weight categories are selected for this team event: -52kg, -63kg, -78kg.
Men Team Event
Seven men made squad will also fight for a team title. Pool A will see Montenegro surpassing with a bye first round. Right below Cyprus will be up against home favourites, Malta. The lower half of the draw will deliver a first-round match-up between Luxembourg vs Liechtenstein and Monaco vs Iceland. The following weight divisions have been selected for this event: -66kg, -81kg, -100kg.
