It was nothing short of a successful year for the supreme athlete, Tato GRIGALASHVILI of Georgia. With his major wins this year, he can now proclaim himself a three-time World Champion and three-time European Champion, – six including his triumphs in the younger categories. Grigalashvili’s most recent accomplishment was claimed in the French capital, a stunning Olympic silver medal in front of the Eiffel Tower.
There are no signs of the Georgian judoka slowing down any time soon, and we are looking forward to seeing him back on the tatami in 2025. After a bittersweet end to the Tokyo Olympic Games, narrowly missing out on a medal, Grigalashvili redeemed himself in front of the French crowd who have consistently proven to be avid fans.
