GEORGIA TO HOST SENIOR EUROPEANS 2026

Georgia will host the European Judo Championship Seniors in 2026. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze discussed details related to the tournament during a meeting with Dr Toth Laszlo, President of the European Judo Union.

The Prime Minister noted that the Georgian Government will contribute to the further development of cooperation with the European Judo Union and will ensure the successful organisation of the European Judo Championship 2026 at a high level.

The agreement to host the EJU’s flagship event in Georgia next year was signed today, 21 March 2025. The document was signed by Minister of Sports Shalva Gogoladze, President of the European Judo Union Toth Laszlo and President of the Judo Federation Levan Nozadze. The tournament will be held in Tbilisi between 23-26 April 2026.
