One the 14th and 15th of September, the EJU Get Together Tour continues in Gdansk, Poland within the Ergo Arena.
The organisers of this event are Ada Judo Fun Gdańsk Club, run by former European Champion Adriana DADCI-SMOLINIEC and the Polish Judo Association, with many national clubs participating including; UKS Ada Judo Fun Gdańsk, KS Atak Elbląg, UKS OK Opole, 1O Opole, Judo Fight Club, Aneta Judo Team, Akademia Judo Poznań, UKS SDW, UKJ Kobra and UKS Sport Dla Wszystkich, as well as international attendees.
Dadci-Smoliniec explains,
We will be visited by a large representative of the European Judo Union authorities, headed by Sergei ASCHWANDEN, Vice-President of EJU, and Marina DRAKSOVIĆ, responsible for the Adapted Judo Project. We hope that the EJU Get Together Adapted competition in Gdańsk will contribute to the emergence and development of judo people with disabilities in our country. This is a good time for change and development.
The EJU Get Together event will be held simultaneously with this year’s penultimate tournament for people with disabilities in Poland, and during the tournament, special training for referees will be conducted. Dadci-Smoliniec continued,
The European Cup competition will be attended by judges from the central training of the Polish Judo Association, who specialize in judging fights for people with disabilities. A representative of the European Judo Union will conduct a special training for judges. The judging panel consists of judges assessing the fights on the mat, the Chief Judge, the Classifier and four judges operating the scoreboards, the referee director is Krystyna Macioszczyk, and the classifier is Marek Tytonik.
The referees include: Bożena Hinca, Izabela Lubczyńska Kamińska, Anna Lubaszka, Paulina Pietrzyk, Natalia Horzela, Małgorzata Woś and Rafał Siejka, Marcin Pałka, Janusz Pawlak, Marek Chodań, Marcin Woźniak, Krzysztof Grabowski, Dariusz Świercz.
