On behalf of EJU Sport Commission we can provide the following updates on the calendar for the remainder of 2020.
Today, on behalf of the EJU Sports Commission, nations were informed that no EJU events will be held in August 2020. There are hopes that the situation will normalise over the course of the summer and a provisional EJU calendar has been provided in case of this.EJU President Sergey Soloveychik shared his encouraging opinion,
The situation is very unusual to our sport, and the pandemic is not over yet, however we look to the future with more optimism and hope to resume some of European judo activities in autumn.
The patience and hard work from all nations is greatly appreciated during this difficult time and we strive to keep everyone updated as often as possible in regards to future event plans.
The provisional calendar runs from September to December and the EJU will continue to work in close collaboration with the organising federations, observing further developemnts prior to final confirmations.
In regards to the Kata and Veteran European Championships 2020, discussions are still in progress but an update will be provided within the coming weeks.
