DR SANDA ČORAK AND BARBARA MATIĆ VICE PRESIDENTS OF THE CROATIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

Zagreb, October 3, 2024 – At the 74th session of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s (Hrvatski Olimpijski Odbor – HOO) Assembly, held in Zagreb’s The Westin Hotel, former leader Zlatko MATEŠA was unanimously re-elected as the president of the Croatian Olympic Committee for the mandate period 2024-2028.

The re-elected president chose the following individuals join as vice-presidents: the president of the Club of Olympians, Željko JERKOV; the president of the Croatian Football Federation, Marijan KUSTIĆ; the president of the Croatian Judo Federation, Dr Sanda ČORAK and judo Olympic champion, Barbara MATIĆ.

Among  the new sports government of Mateša the biggest name is definitely the former president of the Republic of Croatia, now a member of the International Olympic Committee, Kolinda GRABAR KITAROVIĆ.

Mr Mateša, the long-time president of the Croatian Olympic Committee, has decided to run for another term at the head of our umbrella sports company. The years (75) are clearly not a hindrance to the former Croatian prime minister and there were no hurdles at the election assembly of the Croatian Olympic Committee, where he had no opponent. Mateša accepted the job of HOO president in 2002.
