DEADLINE IS CLOSING IN FOR IMPORTANT MUNICH MEETING

The development of adaptive judo is one of the key areas which the Education sector of the European Judo Union is robustly working on. Last year, during the EJU Congress in Ljubljana, we have witnessed some incredible presentations within this topic.

Now, the next stop is Munich, where the first official workshop on the development of adaptive judo will take place between 21-23 April 2023. Some of the main topics will include the creation of a unified classification for judoka with different abilities and the creation of rules for further competitions.

This area is very important. According to the World Health Organization, there are an estimated 1.3 billion people currently experiencing significant disability. Inclusion is a way of thinking; judo is a way of life. Both, established a belief that all individuals, regardless of ability or disability, are valued members, and are a part of our family. After all, it is not for nothing we often say, Judo – more than sport.

Whether you have a wealth of experience in this field or simply wish to embark on this journey, you are all welcome! The registration is closing on the 31st of March, therefore, if you wish to attend this unique workshop, please contact your national federation to complete the online registration form. We look forward to see you all in Munich.
