EJU Secretary General Martin POIGER met with President László TOTH in Budapest on Friday for a one-day working meeting to review the main topics of the Executive Committee Meeting in Tallinn and to prepare for the upcoming EJU Congress on November 23 in Budapest.
“We want to tackle the upcoming challenges together. “The quality and quantity of EJU events has increased substantially in recent years. The sporting successes of the European federations in the 2024 Olympic year are also impressive: 8 gold medals, including the mixed team, 35 medals from 17 European nations. We showed our best side at the Summer Games in Paris. We want to continue this successful course in all areas,” emphasized Tóth and Poiger.
During the meeting, Martin Poiger also declared, that he is willing to run for another term of office as Secretary General.
Two EJU events are scheduled for the upcoming weekend: The Veteran European Cup will take place in Hamburg (GER) and a Senior European Cup will be held in Podgorica (MNE).
