Follonica, Italy was the pregame of the Cadet European Tour event in Fuengirola, Spain. A terrific number of 455 athletes from 23 nations will be competing in the two-day event in the Complejo Deportivo Juan Gómez Juanito.
Of the grand total, 28 of those athletes are within the top ten of the world ranking list, and span the international scene, from Mongolia to Argentina.
Ten of the gold medallists in Follonica are looking to keep up their momentum, with many also attending the training camp that followed. Though the top prizes were divvied up between Europe and Asia, France and Italy will be sending back their champions; Clelia DA COSTA (FRA)/-40kg), Rachele MORUZZI (ITA/-44kg), Eilys BERRIOT (FRA/-52kg), Jawanys BELLEVAL (FRA/-73kg), Giulia SORELLI (ITA/-57kg), Leonardo COPAT (ITA/-81kg), Nina MUTEBA (FRA/-70kg) and Marie BERTHELEMY (FRA/+70kg) to once again challenge the impressive young team from Mongolia.
The draw will take place on the the 16th of February at 20:00 local time on JudoTV.com.
