Gold medalist -57kg: Sappho Coban (GER) This year was not easy for me as I changed my weight class to -57kg. Up to this time, I have fought some European Cups and European Opens. This route has been quite successful for me and I am so happy to defend my title this year. I believe I arrived in my new weight class. |

Gold medalist -52kg: Karolina Pienkowska (POL) This is my first gold medal at a European Championship so I am really happy. This success feels awesome as I have had a really tough month competing every weekend, this being my fifth competition in row. This is the reason that I feel a little bit tired. I would like to go to the Olympic Games, but there is one opponent from my country in a higher ranked position at the moment in the olympic ranking list. So I hope Tokyo will also be the one for me. |

Gold medalist -60kg: Islam Yashuev (RUS) I don’t know exactly what is coming next but I hope I can compete at European or World Championships. The final match was not easy for me because I never fought him before. But in the end I could handle it well. |

Gold medalist -66kg: Fabio Basile (ITA) I kissed my belt because this is the belt of my girlfriend. This belt is my talisman. When I won the gold medal my thoughts were of her. I won all my fights by ippon up to the final match. The final was a hard because he is physically very strong. My next tournament will be the Grand Prix in Korea and I hope I can show my skills on this level. |

Gold medalist -48kg: Milica Nikolic (SRB) I did not expect this medal today. This is my first year at the senior level and my best result was the 3rd place in Sofia (EJOpen). But I felt relaxed and focused today. Last year I lost against Cinta Mesa Carcia (ESP) at this championships, but this year I could beat her in the semi final. |
