Safe Fall

Safe Fall

Enhancing Safety Through Judo Principles

The Safe Fall Project, initiated in collaboration with the European Judo Union (EJU), aims to reduce fall-related injuries by teaching safe falling techniques derived from judo. Falls are a major cause of injuries, particularly among children and the elderly. By integrating fundamental judo breakfall (ukemi) techniques into educational and community programs, this project promotes injury prevention and enhances overall physical awareness.

With the expertise of judo professionals, the Safe Fall Project provides structured training programs adaptable to various age groups, ensuring that individuals develop confidence and resilience when encountering unexpected falls. This initiative underscores the practical value of judo beyond competition, emphasising its role in public health and injury prevention.

By fostering a culture of safety and movement education, the Safe Fall Project aligns with EJU’s mission to promote judo’s benefits across all sectors of society.
