A PRODUCTIVE MEETING WITH BRIGHT PLANS

A PRODUCTIVE MEETING WITH BRIGHT PLANS

Frank Doetsch, the General Secretary and CEO of the National Judo Federation of Germany (DJB), recently met with Dr. Tóth László, President of the European Judo Union (EJU), in Budapest. The meeting was praised as highly productive, laying the groundwork for promising future collaborations.

The discussion underlined the significance of maintaining strong ties between national federations and the EJU. Both stressed the importance of teamwork in advancing European judo, sharing a mutual commitment in improving the sport across the continent. As judo continues to grow in popularity, close partnerships between national and continental organisations are crucial in promoting its development, ensuring high standards in training and competition, and fostering community building across nations.

Frank Doetsch followed up on previous communications, reaffirming DJB’s dedication to maintaining its close relationship with the EJU and highlighting the positive collaboration that has thrived in recent years.

Dr. Tóth László echoed the importance of open conversations and cooperation in moving European judo forward. While the meeting highlighted the productive partnership with the DJB, it was also a nice example of the kind of collaboration the EJU seeks and has with all its member federations. As future plans take shape, the judo community can look forward to enhanced collective efforts and exciting initiatives aimed at further elevating the sport throughout Europe.
