The European Judo Championships 2020 in Prague is still set to go ahead in November, however, we regret to inform our community that the Judo Family Fan Camp will ultimately be cancelled.
The health and safety of both our judoka and fans are of the utmost importance, as is abiding by the government guidance as well as the advice of the EJU Medical Commission and EJU COVID-19 Task Force Team. The European Judo Championships held between the 8th and 10th of November will no longer stage the Judo Family Fan Camp in Czech Republic. The EJU President commented the decision,
We are very sad to announce the cancellation of the Judo Fan Camp. The health of families are our priority and we understand that due to the current unstable situation in Europe we will not be able to organise the camp at desired level with all opportunities for our judo fans. I am convinced that our community will get through the crisis and emerge even stronger from it. The time will come when the European Judo Family will come together again.
We hope that events in the not so distant future will again be able to welcome our Judo Family and provide these inclusive events which bring our community together and build our international relationships. Meanwhile the EJU will do its best to provide spectacular streaming and TV broadcasting of our prime event.
