Porec, Croatia, will host the 6th edition of the EJU Judo Festival between the 10th and 23rd of June. There will be an exciting new addition to the already successful event.
Entitled “Special Needs”, the Judo Festival has organised a seminar that will be held on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of June. As the judo community continues to grow, this will be particularly aimed at judoka who have different needs to mainstream practitioners. This will welcome those affected by autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, dyslexia, blindness and any other judoka who train and compete with other needs.
The aim of this seminar is to show that judo is truly a discipline for all and for everyone who is participating in judo, to have the ability to experience this great event that the Festival has become. Special guests from Croatia, Great Britain and Sweden among other countries, will come together with their coaches to show the adaptations which are made in order for judoka to come together.
A special guest will present research concerning judo and special needs. If you are involved in teaching “Special Needs”, or indeed are interested in becoming involved, then the EJU Judo Festival welcomes and encourages you to attend this unique seminar, in a unique setting at a unique event.
