The Czech Judo Federation was founded in 1936 and on Saturday (Oct. 15) its 80th anniversary was celebrated. The Federation hosted a Gala Dinner which was filled with 200 delightful guests. The guests were greeted by the president of the International Judo Federation Mr. Marius Vizer who congratulated the Czech Judo Federation on this event and presented special IJF awards to the President of the Czech Judo Federation, Mr. Jiri Dolejs; to 2016 Olympic Champion, Mr. Lukas Krpalek; to IJF Sports Director, Mr. Vladimir Barta and to EJU Vice-President Mr. Michal Vachun.
Furthermore, the President of the European Judo Union, Mr. Sergey Soloveychik also extended his best wishes to the Czech Judo Federation on the anniversary. He then presented a special EJU award to Mr. Jiri Dolejs. Mr. Soloveychik also awarded former EJU Vice-President, Mr. Jaroslav Vacek. At the end of the evening, a special Kodokan award was also presented to the Czech Judo Federation.
