He then followed his lecture with ashi-waza and recommended incorporating Sasae-tsuri-komi-ashi in nage-no-kata form into the training of the kids. Okuri-ashi-harai and De-ashi-harai was then explained followed by O-soto-gari and O-uchi-gari. Okada-sensei recommended to teach Sasae-tsuri-komi-ashi and De-ashi-harai as the first techniques to the children because the ukemi is the easiest for the kids. Okada-sensei then continued with mae-kuzushi and recommended to teach tai-otoshi as the first frontal throw. Okada-sensei demonstrated Tai-otoshi from various moving and demonstrated fundamental ne-waza techniques and recommended to teach ne-waza basics together with the ukemi teaching. Okada-sensei also suggested incorporating ne-waza randori into the trainings of the beginners because ne-waza randori meets the safety requests. At the end Okada-sensei demonstrated his famous ko-uchi-gari but pointed out the fact that this particular technique is not suitable for the beginners.
