OLYMPIC CHAMPION TAKES ON MILITARY DUTY

The 42nd CISM World Military Judo Championship is currently taking place from 14 to 19 October in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This event is organised under the International Military Sports Council (CISM) and features competitions across all individual weight categories. The championship also includes a team event and a military para-judo event.

The Yunusobod Sports Complex in Tashkent is the proud host of 213 participants from 29 nations. These athletes represent their military forces with skill and honour, competing in a series of events that demand both physical excellence and discipline. Among the competitors are notable judoka such as Andreja LEŠKI (SLO), the reigning Olympic champion from Paris 2024, adding a prestigious layer to the competition. This year’s championship is set to be a thrilling display of judo talent, team spirit, and military pride.
