This weekend, the final senior European Cup of the season will take place in Malaga, Spain, bringing together 461 athletes from 30 countries at the Polideportivo Ciudad Jardín. The event promises high-level competition, with several notable names set to compete, including two standout judoka fresh from their Paris 2024 Olympic appearance, ranked the highest of all: Barbara TIMO (POR) and Cristina CABANA PEREZ (ESP).
Adding to the excitement, more Olympians will take to the tatami, accompanied by rising stars like Maria SILVEIRA (POR), the 2023 cadet European champion and world bronze medallist.
The Senior European Judo Cup series is crucial for judoka at every level, offering them the chance to gain competitive experience, earn ranking points, and prepare for future international tournaments.
