The National Judo Federation of UKRAINE (UJF) is focusing on continuity. President Mykhailo KOSHLYAK was unanimously re-elected at the General Assembly in Kremenchuk. This is his second term in office, Koshlyak has been in office since October 2020 and has now been confirmed until the end of 2028.
“I would like to thank my team for their work over the past four years, with all their successes and failures. I feel a great responsibility for the association, for the athletes, coaches, employees, all our different departments and projects. The experience of the last few years helps us, now we know each other better, the cooperation with the regional centers has been intensified. I am confident that we will be even stronger and more successful on the road to Los Angeles,” emphasized Mykhailo Koshlyak in an initial statement.
The UJF leadership is composed as follows: Vasyl VOLOSHYN acts as First Vice President, responsible for financial matters, he is also Chairman of the Referee Commission. Vice-Presidents: Oleksandr NAGIBIN (international relations), Serhiy KOLESNICHENKO (national events, development of student sport) and Mykhailo RUDENKO (cooperation with authorities such as the Ministry of Sport, government agencies). Hryhoriy KOROL was appointed as advisor to the president – his primary areas of responsibility are the national Children’s Judo League, junior competitions and Kata. Vitaliy DUBROVA takes over the position of Sports Director.
In sporting terms, Daria Bilodid’s (-57) European Championships title in Zagreb and Nazar Viskov’s (-60) European Championships Juniors gold were the biggest successes of the past year.
