A SIGNIFICANT STEP FORWARD

The Skopje Junior European Cup 2024 concluded today, featuring competition in the lightweight categories for women’s -48kg, -52kg, -57kg and the heavyweight men’s categories -81kg, -90kg, -100kg, +100kg.

The organisers have gone above and beyond to ensure a high-quality environment for preparation and training, providing an additional sports hall within the same center for the competitors. Throughout the weekend, these talented junior athletes showcased an incredible technical repertoire across all three mats.

Georgia emerged as the top-performing nation, securing 23 medals over the two days. Serbia followed with 17 medals, and Croatia claimed third place with a total of 8 medals. Starting tomorrow, the majority of the teams will participate in the international training camp which traditionally follows these tournaments.

This Junior European Cup 2024 marks a significant step forward for the Republic of North Macedonia, the host country for the Cadet European Championship in 2025.
