It has been 37 years since the Paks Junior European Cup, fondly known as the ‘Atom Cup’, opened its doors and started an incredible tradition. Paks, Hungary, has housed numerous champions including Hungary’s only Olympic Champion in judo, KOVÁCS Antal, as well as World and European Champion BRAUN Ákos.
Over the 13th and 14th of July, 386 inscribed judoka from 30 nations will be competing to go in to the history books. Following on from Prague last weekend, it appears that the Pan-American crowd are continuing their tour with top seeded and ranked athletes from Brazil and USA.
