In the capital of Ukraine, in Kiev is the training camp until wednesday. It is a traditional three-day camp which started at once after the end of Junior European Cup Top Ranking «Typhoon on tatami».
For about 600 judoka from 18 countries including teams of Brazil, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Moldova are training now on the Kyiv tatamis.
Members of the national team of Ukraine are preparing for the Olympic Games during the training camp. The former World and European champion Georgii Zantaraia also uses the opportunity to do judo at home.
Thanks to four gold awards which Kateryna Lyalina (63 kg), Yelizaveta Kalanina (+78 kg), Armen Stepanyan (100 kg) and Nikita Dibrin (+100 kg) won on Sunday,Ukraine finished on the first place at the medal list. Ukraine is now ahead of Brazil and Romania at medal list, and finished tournament at the first place with 5 gold, 5 silver and 14 bronze awards. Brazil has 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze. Romania finished tournament with 2 gold medals and 1 bronze.
