This weekend the Cadet European Cup in Bielsko-Biała takes place in a beautiful, new-built sports hall in a mountain. The competition was attractive for judo fans from Poland and other European countries.
On four tatami cadet judoka were fighting in the lightest weight categories for women: U40, U44, U48 and U52kg and for young men: U50, U55, U60 and U66kg.
In the first category under 40kg women the gold medal was won by Amber Gersjes (NED). The Dutch defeated Azerbaijan judoka Leyla Aliyeva. The third place was claimed by Viktoria Kulishkina (RUS) and Romane Yvin of France. In the category under 44kg the gold medal at the platform was for Maria Bianka Lojanica (NED).
Silver was for Anastasia Turcheva (RUS) and bronze medal for Marion Huber (ITA) and Noelle Roseline Grandjean (FRA).
In category U48kg the best contestant Marine Baumans from Belgium, who won against Ana Maria Ionita(ROU). The bronze medal was for Mina Libeer (BEL) and Iryna Skopych (UKR).
The last category for youg women was for Germany who claimed the U52kg division by Michelle Huerzeler. She claimed her domain against
Yuliya Khramova of the Ukraine. Third place was taken by Sarah Harachi (FRA) and another German, Katja Stiebeling.
In the men’s division the lightest category U50kg, the gold medal went to Erekle ARKHOZASHVILI (GEO), who won against Karo Marandian (UKR). Third place was for Elnur Abbasov and Sadig Gurbanov both from Azerbaijan.
japan claimed the victory U55kg by Tatsuhiro Hiranabe who defeated Oleksandr Makukha (UKR). Bronze medals were won by Ruben Cappaert (BEL) and Dakii Bouba (FRA).
In the category U60kg the best was Takumi Oshima (JPN), who won against Paweł Wawrzyczek (POL). bronze was for Timo Cavelius of Germany and Samvel Chakra (RUS).
In the last category U66kg gold medal went to Takuma Nomura (JPN), who won against the representative of Spain Xavier Cazorla. Third place was taken by Andrey Skripchenko (RUS) and Tim Gramkow (GER).
So Japan leads the total tally in Bielska Biala followed by the two Dutch victories in the women’s categories. Host Poland won silver by Pawel Wawzryczek.
