Adapted judo rules were created this year under the auspices of the European Judo Union. Together with the creation of the rules, from 2024 on, the EJU is launching Adapted Judo tournaments under the name „EJU Get Together Tour“. This year we will hold the first test tournament, “EJU Get together in Venray”, in cooperation with the existing Nihon Dutch Open Shenshu – Adaptive Judo and VI Judo. The competition will take place in Venray, the Netherlands, and you can find the outlines of the tournament below. This tournament will be held according to the newly adopted EJU Adapted judo rules. We hereby invite you to respond to the tournament and forward the notification to your clubs. This year, registrations for the tournament are possible through Clubs and National Federations. As part of the entire tournamnet, on November 24, a course will be held for referees and coaches on the topic of EJU adapted judo rules. With the desire to achieve a unified level of knowledge, we invite you to send your representative of referees to the course mentioned.
Considering the social importance and positive social changes that adapted judo can bring, I invite all National Federations to actively participate in EJU adapted judo activities, starting with the EJU Get Together in Venray event.
Yours sincerely,
Sergei Aschwanden
EJU Vice President
