The city of Sarajevo is regularly hosting successful EJU events and their next mission is accommodating the European Judo Championships Veterans 2024. The official flag handover ceremony took place today in Podcetrtek, where the President of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Judo Federation, Mr. Ognjen PAVLOVIC, expressed his outmost delight in trusting them to host, yet another important event.
We are so happy to be able to organise, for the first time, the Veteran European Championships. We will give our best and ensure the organisation will be great for everyone who will come to Sarajevo. We hope to make it so successful that people will return to visit our county.
The President of the European Judo Union, Dr TOTH Laszlo is confident in the host nation for the next edition of the European Veterans Judo Championships.
Last year, I had the most pleasant surprise in Sarajevo. They organised an exceptional Cadet World Championships, an U23 European Championships and of course their yearly routined European Cups across several age groups. It was breath-taking for me and for others. The location provided in Sarajevo with the incredible hall in convenience with the top level hotel right next to it. All that, for a reasonable price package, which is also a very important aspect for our participants. I must, repeatedly, commend the venue, it is like a theatre, a sanctuary of judo, which is one of the reasons why amongst many bids for hosting this event, we have awarded the Bosnia & Herzegovina Judo Federation. We are looking forward to pass on this incredible experience to our veteran judo family. We are confident that the 2024 Veteran European Championships is in the best hands. See you all in Sarajevo.
