EJU President László TOTH gathered his Executive Committee members at the World Championships in Tashkent on Sunday afternoon for an informal meeting. While on the tatami the first European final (-81 kg/Tato GRIGALASHVLI/GEO/1 vs. Matthias CASSE/BEL/2) was secured, Toth and Vice President Otto KNEITINGER had a couple of good news for their EC members as well as the member federations. With ZEBRA mats the supplier contract was extended for two more years until 2024, so was the partnership with SECA, world market leader for measuring systems and scales. “Both companies offer exceptional bargains for ther products to our member federations. The financial support of our PANDEMIC AID programme will reach the one million € mark before the end of this year. We are also donating IJF competition judogis and children judogis to all European countries”, reported Otto Kneitinger.
The next EJU prime events coming up are the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS UNDER-23 in SARAJEVO (BIH, 28 – 30 October), the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS SENIOR MIXED TEAM in MULHOUSE (FRA, 12.11.), the EUROPEAN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS – CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IN THE MEMORY OF SHOTA CHOCHOSHVILI in GORI (GEO, 26.11.) and the ORDINARY CONGRESS in LJUBLJANA (SLO, 2/3.12.).
