127 diplomas were signed and delivered by the President of the Kodokan Tokyo and Japan’s Judo Federation, Haruki Uemura, to kata experts who participated in the second Kodokan Kata Seminar which ended today in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The seminar, with 268 participants from 18 Nations, has registered an interest in continuous increase that, according Sergey Soloveychik, EJU President, will reach the 400 appearances in future editions.
Under the “Kodokan Judo Kata Course” each of the seven kata was designed with specific lessons, but the diploma was issued only those experts who have received positive evaluation in kata demonstration in front of the chosen Committee headed by Uemura.
Only three positive assessments: Shutoku, Seijuku, Jukutatsu, in order to good (60-69), attributed to 81 experts, very good (70-79), 35 times and excellent (80-89), who have scored to these eleven:
